With over 30 years’ experience, Tom is one of the best-known real estate attorneys in Los Angeles. His practice is focused primarily on commercial real estate sales, acquisitions, securitized financings, and negotiating and documenting leases for office, retail and industrial properties throughout the country.

He regularly handles the commercial leasing of several million square feet of industrial and office properties and the acquisition and sale of about the same throughout the U.S.

Tom is currently responsible for a national real estate portfolio in excess of 17 million square feet. He serves as outside general counsel to some of California's largest privately-held developers and represents ARKA Properties Group, Black Equities, Michael Development, Wells Fargo and John Hancock Real Estate.

A Winning Track Record in Environmental Law

He also handles environmentally-related agreements, remediation and environmental transactions with public and quasi-public agencies, as needed, and has resolved various environmental matters for his clients in California, Arizona, Texas, Georgia, and New Jersey (amongst other states).

A Lifelong Southern California Resident

Tom is a lifelong Los Angeleno and Southern California resident, and a right leg amputee and teenage cancer survivor. He is an active sportsman and involved with Porsche North America and the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic movements. (GO L.A. – 2028!).

Regionally, Tom has been recognized the past two years (2021-2022) in the L.A. Times B2B Commercial Real Estate Magazine as a Visionary. He was selected as one of the "Leading Lawyers of Southern California" by The Los Angeles Times in 2015. He was also awarded as one of Southern California’s "Super Lawyers" by Law and Politics from 2007-2012.

Nationally, Lawdragon distinguished him as one of the "Top 500 Lawyers in America" in 2012.  He was also honored as one of the "Best Lawyers in America" in 2007 and 2009.
