Mary K. KoonMary K. Koon handles commercial real estate transactions of all types and sizes, including purchase and sale, leasing, development, financing and title matters, for a wide range of clients--from individual owners and investors, to publicly and privately owned entities of varying size.

A unique perspective

Ms. Koon has extensive experience advising and assisting clients with negotiating, structuring, documenting, and closing real estate transactions in California and throughout the United States. She also assists clients with residential property matters. Previously was in-house real estate counsel for a privately-held California company with a large portfolio of industrial/commercial real estate in the western United States. Her in-house experience provided a unique perspective and greater understanding of clients’ needs for efficiency and practical solutions in the handling of their real estate transactions.

Representative Clients and Matters

Represents major food processing business in obtaining real and personal property tax incentives in connection with expansion and consolidation of plant facilities, including negotiating with municipal entities and documenting complex multi-layered incentive agreements involving sale/leaseback/financing of incentive-eligible assets.

Represented and advised clients in multiple aspects of re-structuring 35+ family-owned real estate partnerships, including change in ownership and reassessment issues, assumption of loans by re-structured borrowers, review of title matters, and coordination with corporate attorney handling entity dissolutions, conversions and new formations to implement client’s plan.
