Damon M. Juha is Co-Chair of our Real Estate Department. He specializes in transactional real estate matters with an emphasis on assisting clients in buying, selling, developing, financing and leasing all types of real property (industrial, retail, office, multi-unit housing, hotel and residential).
From corporations to startups and individuals
His clients, which include publicly traded companies, start-up businesses, developers and other individuals, retain him to negotiate and document the various stages of a real estate transaction: from acquisition to construction to leasing and management to disposition of the property.
Across the U.S. and abroad
Mr. Juha handles real estate matters throughout the United States, as well as abroad, and has acted as lead real estate counsel for transactions in Canada and Mexico.
He is fluent in Spanish.
Honors
Mr. Juha has been recognized the past two years (2021-2022) in the L.A. Times B2B Commercial Real Estate Magazine as a Visionary. He was one of 50 attorneys throughout the United States to receive Connect Media’s inaugural 2020 Lawyers in Real Estate Award, and was subsequently acknowledged in 2022.
He has been selected by his peers for inclusion in the 2018-2023 editions of Best Lawyers in America® in the field of Real Estate. He was awarded an AV Preeminent® Rating by Martindale-Hubbell® Peer Review, the highest rating in legal ability and ethical standards.
He has been named to the Southern California Super Lawyers list for the last seven years (2017-2023) by Super Lawyers Magazine, and included in the Southern California Rising Stars list from 2009 to 2015, an honor earned by only 2.5% of attorneys under the age of 40.
In 2015, he was selected to the Top 100 Up-and-Coming Southern California Rising Stars list by Super Lawyers Magazine. Mr. Juha has been named “One To Watch” by Hastings Magazine and earned the distinctions of Best Oral Advocate and Best Brief while attending law school there.
